The Make Time Podcast was inspired by the Make Time movement paved eloquently through the Make Time Wellness brand.

For our brain, bodies and beauty—in that order. We make time for brains before bras, brains before booties, brains before manes.

By making time for ourselves and putting our brains first, our overall health follows.

Make Time is more than a brand, it’s a movement. To get the world thinking seriously about women’s brain health by spreading awareness and leading a real global conversation both socially and in the media. We make effective wellness products for busy women that are backed by science, and we are committed to supporting research, education, and giving back.

To make time. What does that even mean these days? We are so buried in our growing to-do lists and calendars that it feels impossible. We are taking care of our families, working, and trying to be all to so many. Where do our own needs fit on that never-ending checklist? That’s right, we have fallen off.

This idea of self-care has become so watered down that I don’t respond to it anymore. I get asked so many times and I have no idea how to respond: “Are you taking time for self-care, Emma?” I know “self-care” is important, but it’s not actionable to me. Making time feels mobilizing and obtainable.

I get to think: What do I like to do? What are my hobbies? What brings me joy? Okay, now how do I fit those things in, and how can I learn to prioritize myself against the guilt that peeks its ugly head in?

That’s why I am excited about this podcast. These are bite-sized vignettes from people of all walks of life sharing how they are making time for the things that are important to them. My hope is you’ll be inspired by these episodes and that you’ll join our Make Time movement.

Imagine a life filled with health challenges like osteoporosis, anxiety, and depression, not just for myself but for my loved ones too. Rushing through meetings, neglecting meals, workouts, and sleep, I asked myself, “How can I make time for myself my well-being with a super demanding career and family?”

Then I had a wake-up call – was I truly taking care of myself,
even as someone relatively healthy? Reality really hit me hard: our most
precious asset is our health, and making time for that was overdue.
This is exactly why we started the Make Time Podcast! While
beauty matters, it’s time we shine the spotlight on our brains and bodies. How
do we find the time? I committed to learn how to make time daily for my brain,
body, and beauty.

I am committed to help create a world where women, homemakers, sisters, mothers, and daughters prioritize themselves. Let’s put our brains, bodies, and well-being first. Today’s a perfect day to start, so join us, and let’s learn how to make a little more time together.
